Text messaging terms
The program
WUD, operated by Coattail Entertainment LLC, runs an SMS program for members of WUD, the production network for film crew, actors and producers in Detroit, Michigan. If you opt in, WUD texts you about your account: that your sign-up is unfinished and how to complete it, that a crew call or casting call you can apply for has been posted, and about WUD events you can attend.
How you opt in
Opting in is a tick box on the sign-in form at wudetroit.com, next to the field where you enter your own mobile number. It is not ticked for you, and it is separate from every other agreement. Consent is not a condition of joining or using WUD, or of buying anything. The verification code that signs you in is sent whether or not you tick it.
The box reads:
Text me about my account. WUD, operated by Coattail Entertainment LLC, may text you about finishing sign-up, work you can apply for, and events. Up to 6 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to stop. See the terms and privacy policy. Optional — you can join WUD either way. The code itself is sent regardless, so you can sign in.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Expect up to about 6 messages a month.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. WUD does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You will get one message confirming it, and nothing after that. You can also turn them off from Notifications in the WUD app. To start again, reply START.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email support@wudetroit.com.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. What WUD does with your number and your consent is set out in full in our privacy policy.
