Terms of service

1. What WUD is

WUD is operated by Coattail Entertainment LLC (“WUD”). WUD is a platform where film crew and producers in the Detroit area find each other, agree on bookings, sign crew deal memos, and pay and get paid. WUD provides the platform, templates, signature records and payment processing through Stripe. WUD is not the employer of anyone who uses it, is not a party to the agreements members make with each other, and does not guarantee any member's work or payment, except as these terms say about payments processed through WUD.

2. Your account

3. Crew calls, bids and bookings

4. Fees and payment

5. Keeping bookings on WUD

Members may not use WUD to find each other and then arrange paid work off WUD to avoid fees. Messages are checked automatically, and messages containing phone numbers, emails, handles or links are not delivered until the members have a booking paid through WUD. Repeated attempts to get around this, or arranging work found on WUD outside it, can lead to suspension.

6. Acting and casting

7. Memberships

8. Member offers and discounts

Member offers are provided by other businesses, not by WUD. WUD is not the seller and does not guarantee any offer, the goods or services behind it, or the business providing it. The vendor's own terms apply, and a dispute about an offer is between you and them. Offers can change or end. Codes are for your own use as a member: do not sell, publish or pass them on.

9. Ambassadors

10. Live rooms

Rooms carry live audio and chat between members. Do not record a room or repost what is said in one. Speak on a room as you would on a set: the conduct rules below apply, staff can mute or remove anyone, and a room can be closed.

11. On-set needs and accommodations

WUD lets a crew member or performer tell a producer what they need on set, and lets the producer answer. If you receive someone's needs:

WUD passes this information between you. WUD does not decide what any production is legally required to provide, and is not responsible for what is or is not arranged on a set.

12. Call sheets and timecards

A call sheet a producer publishes carries a location and a contact, and is for the people on that booking. Hours a crew member submits are their statement of time worked, and overtime is charged only when the producer confirms it at wrap. Both sides should keep their own records.

13. Conduct

14. Your content

You own what you post. You give WUD permission to host and display it to run the service. Work you create on a production belongs to whoever your deal memo says it does, not to WUD.

15. Disclaimers and liability

WUD is provided as is. WUD does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any production, crew call, or member's work, and is not responsible for what happens on set. To the extent the law allows, WUD's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees WUD collected from you in the twelve months before the claim, and WUD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

You agree to cover claims against WUD caused by your breach of these terms or your conduct on a production.

16. Ending your account

You can delete your account from Profile at any time. WUD may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Signed agreements and payment obligations made before an account ends still apply.

17. Text messages

The full SMS program terms — what WUD sends, how often, what it costs, and how to stop — are on their own page: WUD text messaging terms.

If you tick the box at sign-up, WUD sends you text messages about your account: finishing sign-up, work you can apply for, and events. You can join WUD without agreeing to this, and you can change it at any time from Notifications in the app.

18. General

Michigan law governs these terms. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. WUD may update these terms and will tell you in the app before material changes take effect.
